RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE

We are proud of the achievements of the Class of 2022. The exam results represent a tremendous achievement for both students and staff who worked incredibly hard to achieve this level of success. A huge thank you must also go to our Year 11 parents and guardians who provided essential support and encouragement to their children, particularly during the past 12 months.

There were some outstanding individual achievements, with students achieving Grade 7-9 in every subject. The vast majority of students achieved creditable results. We wish all our students the very best in their next steps in education, safe in the knowledge that they have developed the character and skills needed to excel in wherever their journey takes them.

Headline Measures

  • 64% of student achieved Grade 4 or higher in both Maths and English
  • 40% of students achieved Grade 5 or higher in both Maths and English
  • Progress 8 Score: -0.38
  • Average Attainment 8 Score: 42.4
  • Average EBACC Points Score: 3.86
  • Entered for the Full EBACC: 24% (will increase to 45% by 2024)

NB The DfE decision not to include English Literature grades achieved by students at the end of Year 10 had a negative impact on the school’s overall results. For example, had these grades been included the overall Progress 8 score would have been improved by 0.2.

Statement from the DfE “Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for 1 school or college and another, or to data from previous years”.
