RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE
We are proud of the achievements of the Class of 2026. The exam results were the best ever achieved by Bedford students, and continued the trend of significant improvement in recent years.
This represents a tremendous achievement for both students and staff, who worked incredibly hard to achieve this level of success. A huge thank you must also go to our Year 11 parents and guardians who provided essential support and encouragement to their children, particularly during the past 12 months.
There were some outstanding individual achievements, with some students achieving Grade 7-9 in every subject. The vast majority of students achieved creditable results. We wish all our students the very best in their next steps in education, safe in the knowledge that they have developed the character and skills needed to excel in wherever their journey takes them.

Progress
Progress 8 Scores are not available for 2025 & 2026. The students in those cohorts did not sit KS2 SATS due to Covid, so there is no official baseline to measure from. However, other benchmarking data indicates that Bedford students are making better than average overall progress from starting points.
Disadvantaged Students
The attainment of Pupil Premium students at Bedford (those who were entitled to Free School Meals at some point during the last 6 years) continues to improve, and is higher than national averages for Pupil Premium students.
