Last week our fantastic GCSE Drama students filmed their practical devising performances. They have created and performed some truly phenomenal pieces, showcasing their incredible talent, creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication to the subject.

It has been an absolute pleasure to witness such outstanding performances and to celebrate the exceptional talent we have here at Bedford. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved #wearebedfordarts

🎡 Year 8 Students Find Their Voice Through Protest Songs! 🎡

We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 students who have been exploring the power of music as a tool for expression, creativity and change. As part of their musical learning, students have written and developed their own protest songs, using lyrics, melody and performance to share their ideas about issues that matter to them. Some fantastic examples of their song writing can be seen in the picture here with lyrics and chords by Daisy and Lucy, Jacob and Jacob.

From powerful messages to thoughtful reflections, students have shown incredible creativity, confidence and maturity in using music to communicate their voices. Their work demonstrates the impact of songwriting as a way to inspire discussion, challenge perspectives and make an impact.

Well done Year 8 β€” your creativity and passion have truly shone through! 🌟🎢

A huge well done to all of our Bedford Dance students who performed in the Spirix End of Year Sharing Show tonight! 🌟 It was such a pleasure to watch you all perform and see your hard work, dedication and passion come to life on stage. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Miss Thorpe certainly is after watching some amazing performances!

A special mention to Bedford alumni Millie, who it was lovely to see performing again. It’s always wonderful to see former students continuing to do what they love and inspiring the next generation.

Not everyone who took part is pictured here, as some of our students had already left before we took the photo, but a huge well done to every single one of you! πŸ’™βœ¨ #wearebedfordarts Spirix Collective
