Year 11 Information
Following the Maths exam tomorrow morning(Wed 14th June),Y11 students only need to attend school when they have either an exam or scheduled revision session. We have deferred allowing students ‘study leave’ longer than most other schools but have now reached the point where the students have finished in a number of subjects, so it makes sense for them to attend revision sessions in the subjects in which they still have to sit exams, rather than all timetabled lessons.
At the end of tomorrow’s Maths exam, which will be at approximately 10.30, students will be allowed to go home, with the exception of those who will have a Music revision session and exam later in the day.
I have re-attached a copy of the programme shared previously, which shows the dates and times of revision sessions. Please encourage your child to attend all revision sessions so that he/she is well prepared for the remaining exams. It is also, of course, important that your child continues to revise at home.
The final exams are on Wed 21st June. As explained in a separate email sent by Mrs Anders, the Leaver’s Assembly will be at 2.15-3.05pm on Thu 22nd June. Y11 students who wish to attend should arrive outside U Block for 2.10pm.There will be an opportunity for book and shirt-signing at the end of this assembly.
Thanksagain to students for their hard work, and to parents/carers for your continued support, during the exams period. Hopefully, in the summer, the students will achieve the grades their efforts deserve.
