Gatsby Benchmark 4 Linking Curriculum Learning to Careers:
Linking Curriculum Learning to Careers is a whole school approach and National Careers Week events and activities will provide many opportunities during this week and the remaining academic year to do this. This will be really important to our students due to the impact of Covid-19 on the future job opportunities for our students.

‘MEET THE PROFESSIONALS’ PROJECT
We are delighted to launch this Expressive Arts project during National Careers Week. Students will have the opportunity to ‘Meet our Professionals’ through videos on our school website. Here they will learn all about a range of careers from a Royal Marine to a Costume and Theatre Designer. This project aims to demonstrate the importance of creativity in the workplace while showcasing how studying a GCSE Arts based subject will prepare them for the world of work. Students in Year 7-9 will be having a lesson exploring creativity and learning about the creative industries when they return to school. This project will benefit all curriculum areas and contribute to our already Inspiring IAG careers delivery. Click on the link below for a snapshot of the videos.
