A huge congratulations to Marcy in Year 10 who recited her own poetry in the local community. The audience were blown away by her talent and confidence. Thank you to Mr Leslie for organising this opportunity for Marcy - watch this space for future performances!

Last week some of our Year 10 aspiring engineers attended the University of Salfordโ€™s laboratory facilities for a day with MGF.
They took part in testing sandcastles; learning about Hydrogen bonding, as well as surveying measures and how to practically apply Trigonometry and Pythagoras theorem. They took part in the concrete challenge - learning about covalent bonding and calculating pressures from applied forces. They also participated in the tall building resonance activity - applying vibrational loads and applying mathematical equations.
The students really enjoyed exploring their potential career options and practically experiencing the world of engineering with real engineers! Thank you to MGF for organising such a fantastic day for our students.

๐Ÿ“šโœจ Celebrating Our Super Readers! โœจ๐Ÿ•

A group of our hardworking students were rewarded with a special trip to the Trafford Centre! These students have shown exceptional effort in their reading lessons, consistently engaging in their intervention sessions, completing quizzes, and demonstrating real commitment to improving their reading skills.

They each chose a brand-new book from Waterstones and then enjoyed unlimited pizza at Pizza Hut as a well-deserved treat! ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ“–

We are so proud of their dedication, enthusiasm, and love of reading.
